This week I have edited two chapters, and now, I am editing chapter 14. My next podcast is ready for Sunday, and it will be released at noon. I will be editing a blog post for my website, and I’m planning on doing some reading. Those are my plans for the weekend.

I am starting a new series for my podcast; where I will sit down, talking about things that are going on in my life and other topics. In today’s podcast, I discussed my goals for May and what is happening in my life. I hope you will check it out.
Well, last week, I just took a break from writing after recovering from my cold or allergies. Not sure exactly what I had, but it wasn’t Covid.
When I was sick, I did a lot of reading. There wasn’t much else I could do. I found reading a good novel helped to deal with the cold, and especially at night when my symptoms were worse.
My mind needed a break from reading and the writing process. I decided to work on a new epic song that I am composing. It is not finished, but I have a good start, and I am pleased with the progress so far.
There are times I have to allow my creative juices to replenish, permitting my mind to rest, especially after dealing with a cold. I find working on composing a musical piece helps my mind and my body to relax, and at the same time letting my mind be creative.
It allows me to see my manuscripts and my blog posts in a different light, giving me a fresh perspective on ideas and topics.
This week, I also found some new novels that have piqued my curiosity to read, so they are on my reading list, not sure when I will start reading them.
Here are my plans for this week:
Tomorrow, I start physical therapy for my back; I was recently diagnosed with spine osteoarthritis. So my rheumatologist recommended physical therapy, and then we will go from there.
Then later in the week, I will receive my biologic medicine. So, I am going to do some writing and editing in between my appointments.
My life has been a little crazy for me lately for I have been dealing with a sick kitty. He is feeling better now after I took him to the vet about two weeks ago. The Golden Shadow is back to his old self. It is good to see him running and playing through the house.
I have been focusing on my short story which I am almost done with it. A couple of days ago, I wrote the ending. Now, I need to write the remaining scenes for the climax. Then I will put it aside for a while before starting the editing stage.
Then I will work on another writing project and finish reading some novels that I have been reading.
That’s what I’ve been doing for a couple of weeks.
I didn’t do much writing today. I’m dealing with a migraine that is lingering on. For me, it has been challenged staring at a screen for a long period. However, I really want to finish my short story that I’ve been working on. This evening I managed to write a synopsis for the last four remaining scenes. I thought that I had just two left in my head but when I put my words on the paper (screen) it turns out there was two more in my creative juices. Next, what I want to do is briefly outline each scene so I know where I’m going. But I don’t think that’s going to happen tonight for my head is just throbbing. That will be my goal for tomorrow.
Well, I wanted to give a quick update on my progress.
I am nearly done writing the first part of my short story. I just have two more scenes to write. Today, I wrote 1375 words.
Monday: 2115 words on my short story
Tuesday: 264 words on my short story
Wednesday: 895 words on my short story
Thursday: no writing (a sick day)
Friday: no writing. (I worked on photoshop and music composition.)

Tonight, I finished reading this novel, and the review will be coming soon. I also wrote 2000 words today on my short story.
The past few days I have been dealing with a lingering migraine wouldn’t go away. I couldn’t stare at a screen for a long period of time, until yesterday.
I am looking forward to doing some major writing and reading this weekend. Perhaps, the Golden Shadow will curl up on my bed while I read. He has his favorite spots for sleeping and my bed on his top three list.
Yesterday, I accomplished one of my writing goals for February. The novel I’ve been reworking, now, has an ending. So, I can focus on the middle and those events.
I am still working on my short story. While I wrote two scenes, a new minor character emerged. Now, I am pondering on different scenarios in the story. This new character needs a name, but I’m not too worried about it.
My goal is to have the first section of the story done by the end of February. I hope. A story is developing, it can change from the outline. That makes it interesting for me to see how events happened and how it will affect the characters. When the game changers events happen that when all the drama and chaos comes. This is why I enjoy writing my first drafts of my stories.
