Are you a Christian reading your Bible daily?

When I have conversations with Christians who are struggling or going through trials. The question I ask are you reading your Bible daily?

Their answer is sometimes, and there are reasons why.

Earlier this year, I went through a major trial trying to get my hysterectomy surgery, there were so many obstacles, and I wasn’t sure if I was going to get my surgery.

I ran to God and prayed, making my Bible reading a priority.

That trial opened my eyes.

I was struggling with my faith in God because I wasn’t making my Bible reading a priority.

Our priorities tell us and others what we value and don’t.

Trials and struggles enter our lives if we are not reading God’s word and understanding His Promises. We will become discouraged, sin against God, and even walk away from God.

By reading His word, understanding His promises, and realizing who God is. Then we have a stronger relationship with Christ, and I have experienced that myself.

If you were going to open up a shop, what would you sell?

I would call my shop Tea Time at the Old Bookstore. And partner with a local bakery to sell goods and drinks. My shop could be a place where people gather to have conversations and read great books.

Local authors could read their work and meet their readers.

Local groups could have meetings and events.

I have RA (Rheumatoid Arthritis) in all my joints. The one thing that can stop me in my tracks is fatigue. It can be very difficult to manage this symptom.

What does RA Fatigue do?

Some days, I can easily get tired quickly throughout the day. People tell me everyone gets tired, which is true. RA Fatigue is different. It is like dealing with a dying device battery after using it for a few hours it needs to be plugged in.

I wake up in the morning with a lot of energy and then by the afternoon, my energy is draining away like a dead battery. Then I’m exhausted. There are times that I pushed through the fatigue to get things done before I take a nap.

Treatment for RA Fatigue

The best way to deal with RA Fatigue is to have the RA under control by medicine. That’s what I have learned. Taking a nap, when I need it. If there are tasks that must get done I pushed through the fatigue, and then rest afterward.

Other people with Rheumatoid Arthritis have their strategies for dealing with fatigue. For me taking a nap helps.

If you are battling RA Fatigue and nothing is helping you to manage your symptom, please talk to your rheumatologist.

Affordable Housing. Click on the link to read my blog post. Like and share too. Thank you.

Scour the news for an entirely uninteresting story. Consider how it connects to your life. Write about that.

Affordable Housing.

Recently, I read a news article about apartment complexes in the works or approved by my local government. I asked myself, where are affordable homes being built at? The only answer is expensive homes are being built.

Making rent prices for houses and apartments so outrageous. The shortage of places to rent is causing rent to be higher. There seem to be no answers in sight. So the question is: are we heading where there will only be apartments available?

It is a conversation we need to be talking about with our family, relatives, friends, and coworkers. People are afraid to discuss this topic.

We start by talking to our local leaders, voicing our concerns, and asking questions.
