A few weeks ago, I found myself getting a bad case of the blues.
I didn’t understand why. I was wanting things I couldn’t have. Why was this happening to me?
I lost my focus and became caught up in the things of this world.
My focus was on the world instead looking up towards heaven. I don’t know how this happened. But it did.
That lesson taught me as a Christian, I must guard my thoughts and to keep my focus on Christ. That sin can easily creep into my thoughts and my life.
As Christians, we need to be reading the Word and praying daily, live for the Lord, and be vigilant against sin.

Are you a Christian reading your Bible daily?
When I have conversations with Christians who are struggling or going through trials. The question I ask are you reading your Bible daily?
Their answer is sometimes, and there are reasons why.
Earlier this year, I went through a major trial trying to get my hysterectomy surgery, there were so many obstacles, and I wasn’t sure if I was going to get my surgery.
I ran to God and prayed, making my Bible reading a priority.
That trial opened my eyes.
I was struggling with my faith in God because I wasn’t making my Bible reading a priority.
Our priorities tell us and others what we value and don’t.
Trials and struggles enter our lives if we are not reading God’s word and understanding His Promises. We will become discouraged, sin against God, and even walk away from God.
By reading His word, understanding His promises, and realizing who God is. Then we have a stronger relationship with Christ, and I have experienced that myself.
